Skype powers Facebook’s video calling platform (How to set up)

Facebook has just launched their version of video chatting using a modified version of Skype.  This time it seems as though Facebook has worked out the kinks associated with getting the software to function compatibly with our latest versions of laptops, personal computers, and Mac’s.  All we have to do is follow the well laid out steps for downloading, installing, and launching the software.  Once we have accomplished this we will be off to chatting, while viewing our mates in real time and let us face it, we are not in Kansas any longer with the level of today’s technology.  In today’s world, we are reaching more people farther than our own back yards.

How to setup Facebook video chat

1.       Go on Below link and click on Get Start

2.       A new popup come up and asking for Setup video calling. Click on Set Up.

3.       When you click on set up, a plagin will begin downloading. Click on Run to install.

4.       Once the installation will complete a new popup will open saying Calling User and you get the option to cancel the call.

We have managed to get ourselves to the level of the Jetson’s; with Jane taking a call first thing in the morning, fresh out of bed with her hair all a mess and those ever hanging bags under her eyes.  Let’s face it, many of us who work at home perch ourselves in front of our lappy’s, pc’s, and Mac’s dressed in nothing more than our skivvies and some of us function in much less.  Soon we will have those masquerade masks to hide our shambled appearances that undoubtedly resulted from staying out late tossing back a few too many with our buds.  It will not be long before we will be joining the ranks of George Jetson, Mr. Spacely, and H. G. Cogswell; doing everything, we can to not to get caught without pants down, literally.

The exceptional picture quality may derive from the fact that Facebook ‘s version of video chat does not include voice.  If any of you have utilized Google’s video with voice chat or Skype’s you will undoubtedly understand the painful aspect of that with one things are grand, but with both they can get out of hand.  Not only do the standards we expect with today’s level of technological advancement coincide with the ever-prominent “instant gratification” conundrum that plagues society on a whole we expect it to come dirt-cheap or free.  Facebook, along with Skype and Google offer their services free to the public, but Facebook offers more in the way of games, applications, and causes to follow.  So what if you can’t “hear” your friend, you can chat and interact in so much more.
