Thanks for the great article. It is definitely true that using old-fashioned marketing can still be effective. Most of your efforts should still be put towards online marketing though.

You mentioned a lot of great ways to do offline promotion. Some of these require an investment that many people are not ready to take.
I think offline promotion is a great way of promoting your products and services. You can always put an ad in the paper or pay someone on Fiverr to make flyers with your product/service and distribute them in a campus nearby for close to nothing.
If advertising your product/service on radio sounds expensive then think again. I remember seeing few Gigs on Fiverr where some people will advertise you on small radio shows or online news stations for a very small price.

I am a fan of offline advertisement especially if the target audience really comes from those who are not using internet that much.
I have seen some of the advocacy bloggers who use local bulletin boards and related town hall meetings to promote their websites, something that I find effective since I also got curious and did some search on the URLs they have shared.

Hi Abhilash,
Offline marketing is really a great idea but very difficult in practicality. If your concept or product is good ‘word of mouth’ shall do the rest of your job and it does not cost you anything. A great concept of Marketing this one.
